Thanks for your posting. Could you explain you question a little more in detail. Are you interested in FEM related modelling of bio composite materials, specifically the long term physical - chemical behaviour of Truss Elements? What sort of FEM simulation program are you using, e.g. Abaqus, SolidWorks Professional, Ansys, MSC Marc, ... ?
