FEA multiphysics
| We perform FEA multiphysics simulations using existing packages from companies like Dassault Systèmes (Abaqus CAE / Catia), Ansys Inc. and Nastran. The static and dynamics simulations are used for mechanically oriented optimizations of new and existing polymer based products. One can think of improvement of the impact resistance of a new multiple layer design for food packaging, performance of a thin film flexible solar cell for automotive applications, evaluation of torsional stresses on a new rotor blade, assessment of deflection of a composite based bridge deck under load, etc. Ageing and fatigue phenomena are included in a mechanical manner. However, realize that effects of chemical interactions (solubility, swelling, corrosion driven degradation) cannot be taken into account with these packages.
