Our integrated approach to chemical resistance is unique. Since the long term resistance of combined materials - like coatings on metal, polymer matrix composites, laminates and multilayer materials - is determined by
surface corrosion and
diffusion with possible subsequent internal chemical degradation ("lagged" corrosion), we also quantify both phenomena.
Results include the kinetics of e.g. a hydrochloric acid corrosion front, hydrolysis rates of chains, degradation rate of filler particles and multi-component diffusion rates. For more information, we invite you to take a look at
