water absorption in coatings / paints

Hi, I am interested in formulas for water absorption by diffusion and permeation in coatings and paints. I want to simulate paintings with good (polyurethane paint with primer on stainless steel substrate) and bad adhesion on the substrate (epoxy paint on aluminum). Can you assist me with this?
